Encanto

The Walt Disney Animation Studios film “Encanto” is set in Colombia and follows the story of a magical family who lives in a magical house in a magical city by the sea. The father, Oscar (voiced by Anthony Gonzalez), is a gifted musician who dreams of one day having his own orchestra. His wife, Sofia (voiced by Gina Rodriguez), is a beautiful woman with a heart of gold who loves her family dearly. Their daughter, Mirabel (voiced by Lauren communication Laverne Cox), is a vivacious and curious 11-year-old who has the ability to turn any object into a musical instrument.

The film’s story is set in motion when Mirabel’s grandmother, Abuela Carmen (voiced by Rita Moreno), is called back to the spirit world and must find her replacement in the family before she can return. This sets off a chain of events that sees the family embarking on a wild adventure to find Carmen’s replacement, all while trying to keep their magical abilities a secret from the outside world.
