In the midst of the corona pandemic, billionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton) invites his closest friends to his island in Greece for a weekend far from Covid worries. Guests include politician Claire Debella (Kathryn Hahn), model Birdie Jay (Kate Hudson), her assistant Peg (Jessica Henwick), programmer Lionel Toussaint (Leslie Odom Jr.), influencer Duke Cody (Dave Bautista), his girlfriend Whiskey (Madelyn Cline) and Miles’ former business partner Cassandra Brand (Janelle Monáe), who still has scores to settle with everyone.
In addition to enough alcohol, the guests should also pass the time with a murder mystery game, which Miles has specially prepared. Miles is said to be the murder victim himself. But the friends are not entirely alone among themselves. An invitation to the exclusive event has also reached the brilliant detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig), whose intuition will soon be urgently needed.
Rian Johnson has done it again! The sequel to his brilliant Whodunit Knives Out is also great fun thanks to a playful cast and a script that throws a few twists and turns and knows how to surprise again and again. In contrast to the predecessor, the great tension is missing, but this is easily made up for with a good extra portion of humor.
