True crime and no end. It’s a well-known fact that Netflix is constantly releasing new documentaries that deal with real-life crimes in one way or another, practically every week. Most recently, the streaming service also released a number of players and partly fictionalized titles. With great success: Dahmer – Monster: As is well known, the story of Jeffrey Dahmer became a sensation, and The Watcher and Disappeared in Lørenskog also found their fans. Now follows The Good Nurse another work dealing with a crime that is as true as it is unbelievable. The film should receive special attention. Not only that he lures two big Hollywood stars. The case should also cause a lot of shocked faces.
The story about the male nurse Charles Cullen, who is said to have murdered up to 400 people, is not new. For one thing, the crimes happened years ago, he is said to have committed them between 1988 and 2003. In addition, the case is of course reminiscent of the German colleague Niels Högel, who inspired the film The White Silence a few months ago. The orderly also killed scores of people and was convicted of 85 murders. The sequence of events in the two films is strikingly similar. Both in the aforementioned thriller drama and in The Good Nurse the main character is a nurse who one day gets a new colleague with whom she gets along well at first, but who later turns out to be a murderer. The nurse also plays a role in bringing the murderer to justice.
