he fairies of Neverland go about their assigned work. You produce fairy dust, which is actually yellow, but can also take on other colors. Zarina (voice of Christina Hendricks) wants to try this, but it causes a lot of damage and is pulled from production. She leaves her fellows and returns after a long absence at the big festival. Changed on the outside and with evil intentions, she lulls the audience into a deep sleep and steals the fairy dust.
Tinkerbell (voiced by Mae Withman) and her fairy friends set off in pursuit, but soon find that Zarina’s got it covered. She has the fairies’ talents switched, so that there is a great deal of confusion at first. Despite this, the friends manage to track down Zarina’s secret. She works for a pirate named James (voice of “Loki” Tom Hiddleston), who is already getting on his nerves when the alarm clock keeps ticking and who is yet to meet a small crocodile for the first time.
Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy is a nice family film that doesn’t last too long (almost 80 minutes) and in which not much actually happens. The pirates are smooth, the fairies have gotten a bit boring and the slapstick humor is limited. For younger viewers, the film is certainly okay as a first step into the “paniversum”.
